Microsoft hat den ganzen Monat die Untersuchungen durchgeführt und hat allen Xbox-Konsolenbesitzern den Zugriff auf Multiplayer-Shareware-Spiele eröffnet. Bis heute war für Xbox ein kostenpflichtiges Abonnement erforderlich.


Man braucht jetzt kein Live Gold-Abonnement.


Derzeit hat Xbox ungefähr 50 Shareware-Spiele, darunter Call of Duty: Warzone, Fortnite, Apex Legends, Destiny 2, Warframe und Rocket League. Jetzt können nicht nur die Nutzer von PlayStation und Nintendo Switch, sondern auch Xbox-Konsolenbesitzer die Shareware-Spiele ohne Abonnement genießen.


Letztes Jahr gab es Gerüchte, dass es geplant wurde, Xbox Live Gold komplett aufzugeben, aber bisher werden die Gerüchte nicht widerlegt und nicht bestätigt.
