It was announced to the fans by Phil Spencer. The battle between companies continues. So, Sony has held onto the PS5 dev kits for Microsoft and Minecraft for now. The Xbox chief openly accused Sony of not having a Minecraft version for PS5. Earlier, P. Spencer noted that the company Sony does not want to give Microsoft access to the kits.
He also added that this put his company in a highly unpleasant situation. After all, other developers had no such problems.
Currently, a spectacular novelty on PS5 can be played using a particular version for PS4, so there is a way out of the situation.
The company Microsoft has spent a lot of time since the release of the PS5 to create a playable version of this platform. The Xbox chief Phil then told the gaming community that, in this way, his company was trying to find methods to "maximize success."
Recall that the excellent action-adventure novelty Minecraft Dungeons was previously considered a novelty for PC. But then the fantastic novelty became available to fans on all platforms.
So, holding on to PS5 dev kits has, alas, taken its toll on Minecraft's performance.
Company wars are getting more active every day. We are watching further developments.
