Xbox Live Gold Membership Is No Longer Required for Shareware Games.

After almost one month of testing, Microsoft opened access to multiplayer shareware games for all Xbox owners. In this way, a Live Gold Membership is no longer required to play such games online.

Previously, the company planned to raise the pricing of the membership subscription two times. Such dramatic changes disturbed many gamers and caused a lot of negative feedback as many of them are playing shareware games only. To correct the situation, it was decided to keep the pricing as it was before and make free-to-play titles available for every Xbox user. Additionally, now all the players can use party chat and Looking for Group as well.

Right now, there are around 50 shareware games on Xbox including such hits as Fortnite, Call of Duty: Warzone, Apex Legends, Warframe, Destiny 2, Rocket League, and many others. Unlike on PlayStation and Nintendo Switch, a paid membership was necessary required to play online on Xbox till today. However, now everyone can enjoy these games for free. All of the mentioned titles were very popular before, but the recent conditions increased their rating even more! It has a positive impact on the sale of the consoles as well.

Last year there were some rumors that Xbox Live Gold services would be canceled at all. Nevertheless, there are no official facts that prove such plans yet. The membership is still available, but it hasn’t as many advantages as other available Xbox subscription services. The majority of its functions are now accessible for free and some of the features such as free games every month and discounts are not as much profitable as ones provided on the other subscriptions. As a consequence, the demand for Live Gold Membership is getting significantly lower.

You can buy unique games Xbox one and Xbox Series X/S are not part of the Xbox Gold subscription quickly and safely with marketplace Difmark.
