Sony Accidentally Leaked Its PS Plus Free Games for August

Next week, Sony will announce a set of free games that will be available for download to PlayStation Plus subscribers in August. Nevertheless, the company managed to accidentally reveal the titles now. Due to the mistake made by the company, subscribers already know what games to expect next month.

As a rule, leaks are usually quite questionable and come from some insiders from the company. However, this time Sony made a mistake and updated the PS Plus page too early. In this way, the authenticity of the information is undeniable. The list of games includes Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville and Tennis World Tour 2 for both PS4 and 5, and Hunter's Arena: Legends for PS5. The last game will be available for PS4 owners as well, but they need to pay for it to check it out. For today, the problem is fixed and the page shows games for July as usual.

All the rumors and leaks related to PS Plus were always a hot topic for all the community of the console. Moreover, Sony has a lot of serious competitors providing very generous offers for their clients. This time, there is no need for subscribers to make suggestions of the future set of free games as the company revealed it by itself. Despite such an action seeming like just an accident, it isn’t clear enough if it was planned or not.

The upcoming titles will be available to subscribers starting from the third of August. This time, the compilation is pretty diverse as it includes multiplayer shooter, sports simulator, and battle royale. Furthermore, Hunter's Arena: Legends was unavailable for consoles previously and it will be the debut of the game for PS Plus and PS5 at all. The game mixes an Asian culture-based setting and fantasy elements.

Don’t forget that there is still a possibility to download games for July till the second of August. The set of games is unusual and includes four titles including Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, WWE 2K Battlegrounds, Plague Tale: Innocence, and Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown.

The official announcement of free titles for August is planned for July 28. The upcoming list of offered titles is considerably less attractive compared with free games from previous months and offers from other consoles. Nevertheless, Hunter's Arena: Legends is considered a promising project that may attract a lot of new audiences and become quite successful for Sony.
