According to the developers of the new Call of Duty, ranked matches will appear in the title only in 2022. Nevertheless, Activision assures that it will be something completely unique and new.
Gamers became interested in the rating mode right after the developers posted the list of changes and updates of the game from the beta period to the full release. Then Sledgehammer Games, Treyarch, and the Call of Duty League esports organization began to hint at the announcement in an ironic manner.
Later, Activision announced that they are going to take support for rated games to a completely new level but this will only happen in 2022. There will be various competitive rewards, a visual display of the skill rating, and many other new features. The developers promise to share further details later, so it’s worth staying tuned.
According to the rumors and leaks, the title will feature not only the Second World War setting but zombie mode as well (in the best tradition of Call of Duty). The gameplay of the mode appeared on the Internet ahead of time. It seems like the 20-minute gameplay video was leaked by one of the testers who had early access to the game.
The leaked video shows the detailed passage of one of the tasks of the zombie mode. Among the novelties that make this mode much more interesting than in any previous game is the possibility to move around the world and visit completely different maps to complete current tasks. According to the video, a player may visit completely different locations within one mission.
Other interesting details related to the upcoming title are related to special bonuses for PlayStation owners. The majority of previous games brought a lot of exclusive bonus content for PS players but it seems like Vanguard is going to change this tradition as the bonuses will be limited additional experience, slots, and 5-level pass in the Season Pass. No exclusive modes will feature the game or at least they are not announced yet.
The release of Call of Duty: Vanguard itself will take place on November 5. The game will be available on the majority of popular platforms including PC and consoles. The game is already available to preorder for Xbox and PlayStation consoles. The small size of the files surprised some users. Compared with previous games of the series, Vanguard requires much less free place.
