Rebellion Announced New Sniper Elite 5

British studio Rebellion has officially announced the new part of its popular sniper series Sniper Elite. The upcoming game was named Sniper Elite 5. The game will have a full-fledged story campaign, as well as a number of important improvements over previous parts of the franchise. The developers shared some interesting information with the fans of the series.

Sniper Elite 5 will take place in 1944, in France. The main character of the new part will be an elite sniper Karl Fairbairn. His task is to destroy a number of Nazi officers who are involved in the secret operation "Kraken". Here he came into contact with local resistance. Shortly thereafter, the protagonist and the partisans found out about the secret plans of the Nazis. Hitler's troops are preparing to conduct a kind of "Operation Kraken", which will allow them to win the Second World War even before the Allies begin to actively recapture Europe. Fairbairn and the Resistance must learn more about the secret intentions of the Nazis and stop them from getting things done.

The campaign will feature realistic environments created using photogrammetry, a variety of missions, and co-op. When playing together, users will be able to exchange ammunition and various items, as well as heal comrades.

The developers promise that Sniper Elite 5 will have the largest, realistic, and atmospheric locations in the history of the franchise. The game will have a new movement system that will open up new tactical options, and an advanced shooting system, a new weapon upgrade, an improved X-ray camera, and a season pass.

Multiplayer is also promised. It is implemented in the form of one-on-one collisions, a cooperative walkthrough for four, and a battle for 16 gamers.

The game will improve shooting and ways to move around locations. The developers will add sliding on the slopes and descending the ropes. And during firing, you will have to take into account the parameters of the butt and barrel, gravity, pulse, and wind.

The project will receive wide customization of weapons. It will be possible to change many parts and choose a certain type of ammunition. Intrusion mode is also worth mentioning. Players will be able to interfere with each other's missions by transforming into Axis snipers.

The studio has not yet announced the official date of the announcement, so it is unclear exactly when the title will be released. According to the developers, the game will be available for most popular platforms including PCs and consoles.
