Life is Strange Developer's Upcoming Game 'Jusant' Takes Unconventional Inspiration from Death Stranding

Prepare for an adventure like no other as Don'tnod, the mastermind behind narrative-rich gems like Life is Strange, unveils 'Jusant.' This upcoming game is not your typical climb to the summit; it's a daring fusion of mountain scaling and inspiration drawn from Hideo Kojima's enigmatic masterpiece, Death Stranding.

Jusant: An Adventure Beyond the Norm

Intriguingly described as an "action-puzzle climbing game with meditative vibes," Jusant pushes the boundaries of gaming. During Gamescom 2023, Kevin Poupard, co-director of Jusant, shared its origin story. The game embraces Death Stranding's unique balance mechanics, requiring players to analyze terrain and make path choices based on their load—promises to deliver a reflex-driven experience that challenges players in unexpected ways.

The Art of Balance in Two Worlds

At first glance, the connection between Jusant and Death Stranding might seem as unusual as scaling mountains while delivering packages. Yet, upon closer inspection, the parallels become apparent. Both games center on balance—Death Stranding with cargo management and Jusant with precarious mountain climbing. As the gaming world eagerly anticipates Jusant's release, it stands as a testament to the ever-evolving nature of the industry. This innovative fusion of ideas promises an adventure that defies convention. Meanwhile, fans eagerly await news of Death Stranding 2, shrouded in secrecy and sparking curiosity across the gaming community.
