The gaming community is very interested in the future title developed by Nana Moon. It is called Keylocker and according to Moon, players have never tried something close to this game before. Despite it may sound way too ambitious, it would be great if the Moon could fulfill all the ideas related to the title.
Keylocker is an RPG game combining different features from the popular themes for today. Despite it having at a glance cyberpunk style, a player can meet magic and mythological creatures in the game. Besides, Moon is going to put the satirical plot in the game, criticizing today's capital world.
In a recent interview, Nana Moon stated that the game had no chance to be released if it wasn't supported via Kickstarter. There were no companies or investors who wanted to help the development of the game as it seemed to be too unusual. Nevertheless, around $60,000 was raised in October that means the game will be released!
According to Moon, Keylocker is not a standard story about the future and its technologies. Here the future meets the past and present with all their features and problems. The main hero of the game is a girl called Bobo. She was imprisoned for her love to play the guitar and now she is going to break such a strict regime! The game promises to be very diverse, so it seems that such an interesting plot will be followed with very unusual gameplay features. Step by step, a player will face new dangers and adventures on the way to overthrow this system.
Moon said that the main influences for the project were Blade Runner and Ghost in the Shell. Looking at provided arts there is no doubt the game will have such a great atmosphere as mentioned titles. It looks like a mix of Undertale, anime, and some cyberpunk movie! Besides, many gameplay features were inspired by the famous Guitar Hero game. Bobo is armored by her guitar. Some of the mini-games are based on a similar system as Guitar Hero where a player needs to follow the rhythm of the music to win. Music is illegal in the Keylocker world, so it's going to be a real rebellion!
For today, the game is actively developing. Nana Moon has a lot of great ideas that are pretty complex to put in the title well. Accordingly, the developer didn't provide any release date yet. Nevertheless, Moon wants Keylocker to be finished and released by the end of 2023. The game will be available on the majority of consoles and PC.
