Warhorse Studios has unveiled the long-anticipated sequel, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Scheduled for release in 2024, this sequel promises to immerse players in the medieval Bohemian kingdom, delivering a captivating narrative of revenge, thrilling adventures, and immersive gameplay.
The sequel's anticipation began with a teasing tweet on April 11, building up to a thrilling trailer that came out yesterday. It reintroduces players to the times when the determined Henry of Skalitz seeks revenge against those who harmed him and his family.
Building upon the acclaimed foundation laid by its predecessor, the sequel presents a vast open world ripe for exploration, meaningful RPG choices that shape the narrative, and the thrilling return of its unique melee combat system from the protagonist's eyes. Every action in the game is expected to be more visceral and immersive.
The sequel clearly improves production quality, featuring better graphics and reportedly "five hours of breathtaking cinematic cutscenes." The creative director expressed his enthusiasm, stating that the team was fulfilling their original vision for the game, which they couldn't achieve earlier due to limited resources and experience.
