In less than one hour, one of the creators of the game Dark And Darker raised more than $ 46,000 for a lawsuit with Nexon

This year, Japanese-South Korean publisher Nexon announced that some of its past employees stole assets from a game project and used them to develop Dark and Darker. Ironmace Studios strongly disagrees with the allegations he has stated publicly. The company was then subjected to a police raid looking for the stolen code. Nothing has been found. However, a few weeks after this incident, the page Dark and Darker on Steam was delisted.

The game has not yet been released, but with the help of game tests, gamers were able to evaluate the novelty and are looking forward to its release. Against the background of the heated interest of the players in this new product, everyone was attracted by an unexpected announcement in Discord.

One of the company's employees decided to act independently and opened the GoFundMe web page. On the official Discord channel, Luci's admin announced that the IRONMACE development team is stressed, as the firm has little room for litigation. He stated that Nexon was seeking to harm his firm. Gamers were also encouraged to contribute to the company's litigation. Players jumped at the chance, and an impressive amount was collected on the page in less than one hour.

Most likely, the company did not take any part in this action. The employee organized everything at his discretion without consulting with his colleagues. As a result, the page was removed, and Graysun's administrator stated that, although this online page was completely legitimate, it was posted without notifying colleagues by an overly enterprising employee who wished to help the company. Many wondered if the announcement's authenticity was posted on April 1st.

So, officially, the studio said that the campaign was announced prematurely and may yet be renewed. In any case, the developers are sincerely grateful to the gamers who actively participated in this situation.

Indeed, raising such a hefty sum in less than an hour is an astounding result, demonstrating that a role-playing video game has die-hard fans who dream it is available to players, no matter how true or false the allegations are. Time will tell how this situation will be resolved. The next should start on April 14th. And so far, it has yet to be determined how this event will go.
