Exploring the Endings of Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty

Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty offers a gripping finale to its narrative through four distinct endings that impact the futures of its main characters, V, Songbird, and Reed, in profound ways. Each ending branches out based on crucial decisions players make during the mission at Kurt Hansen’s Dogtown stadium and subsequent critical moments. Whether aiding Songbird's escape or siding with Reed, each choice leads to starkly different conclusions, illustrating the complex moral landscape of Night City.

The Diverging Paths of Phantom Liberty

The paths diverge significantly at a pivotal moment involving the Neural Matrix. If players decide to help Songbird with her daring escape plan, they can either betray Reed to secure Songbird's freedom or negotiate with Reed to secure a cure for themselves after a betrayal is revealed. Alternatively, aiding Reed to capture Songbird can lead to her tragic demise as a cyberpsycho or her survival in a severely altered state, depending on the player's final choice.

The Impact of Player Choices

Each ending encapsulates the essence of Cyberpunk 2077's thematic focus on choice and consequence. In the "Cure Songbird" ending, players must deal with the aftermath of betrayal and the high cost of a potential cure, leaving them to ponder the moral ambiguity of their decisions. The "Agree to Reed's Deal" ending offers a pragmatic but cold resolution to the complex situation, while the choices to either kill or spare Songbird reveal the harsh realities of the cyberpsycho condition and the difficult decisions required to maintain one’s humanity in a dystopian world.
Each scenario in Phantom Liberty not only concludes the expansion's narrative arc but also connects deeply to the main storyline of Cyberpunk 2077, enriching the overall game experience and providing players with much to reflect upon regarding their characters' destinies.
