Elden Ring Is The Top Wishlisted Steam Game

Elden Ring tops the list of the most wish-listed games On Steam! Previously, Dying Light 2 was in the lead for the entire 2021, but the upcoming title has surpassed it. However, this is not a guarantee of success for Elden Ring, because before Dying Light 2 was the leader of the failed Cyberpunk. In addition, today Steam once again set a record for the number of simultaneous users of the service - more than 28.2 million people.

A list of the most wish-listed titles can be viewed either on Steam itself or on the Steam DB website, where there is also a sorting function by various parameters. According to the web archive, on January 5, 2022, Dying Light 2 held the lead, but on the 9th, Elden Ring took first place. Before that, zombie action in the open world was in the lead for the entire year 2021. It is also worth considering that the Elden Ring page on Steam only appeared in August 2021, while Dying Light 2 has had it since June 2019. So, it seems like Dying Light has a serious competitor now!

The upcoming title is one of the most discussed topics in the gaming community. Among the recent news related to Elden Ring is an unlocked character editor that was previously unavailable. A video showing the creation of characters in Elden Ring has appeared on the network. During the tests of the game, only 5 pre-created heroes were available to users, but a YouTuber under the nickname ER-SA managed to unlock a full-fledged editor. It’s not the first time when players get access to some blocked materials as previously, they were able to access restricted content from the test version of Elden Ring by hacking the PS4 firmware.

Based on the video, the character editor was not yet complete at the time of public testing. For example, parameters do not have labels, but all of them can be changed using the sliders including many characteristics of appearance and hairstyle. In the video, its creator had a lot of fun testing the possibilities provided by the editor that proves its great usability and excellent development. According to users, the detail of faces has increased significantly compared to previous games from FromSoftware. The character editor in Elden Ring is similar to that of previous games developed by the studio, but the detail of the models is much higher.

Elden Ring will be released this February. The game will be available for PC and the majority of modern consoles.
