Cyberpunk 2077 Is Available on the PlayStation Store Again

After a long time, Cyberpunk 2077 is available on the PlayStation Store again. Nevertheless, there are still some troubles with its performance. Despite numerous improvements, the game is not recommended to play on PS4. Owners of the console are resented.

Recently, the developer of the famous RPG Cyberpunk 2077 CD Projekt Red announced the coming back of the title on PlayStation Store. Using the backward compatibility feature, a customer may buy the game on PlayStation 4 but can play it on PlayStation 5 as well. Furthermore, it was stated that the PS5 version of the game will be upgraded soon. In this way, it will be free to owners of the digital and physical copies for PS4 as well.

However, the return of the latest CDPR game doesn't mean that it finally performs perfectly. The development of Cyberpunk 2077 for PS4 continues. The studio promises that it will be improved in the near future. Nevertheless, for this day it recommends playing the game on PlayStation 5 or at least PlayStation 4 Pro. It's a well-known fact that the game has troubles not only on Sony consoles but all other platforms as well. CD Projekt Red actively works on the title and its stability.

PlayStation owners guessed the comeback of Cyberpunk 2077 back last week. Their speculations were based on the possibility of adding the game to the wishlist. Soon, Sony officially confirmed it along with the warning of performance troubles of the PS 4 version.

The release of Cyberpunk 2077 in 2021 became a hot topic to discuss. Players expected an impeccable masterpiece in the world of gaming, but the title appeared pretty unfinished and full of bugs. Such an issue led to the removal of the game on the PlayStation Store and refunding customers. Nevertheless, CDPR has been working on improvements to the game and its performance all this time.

It wasn't stated directly, but CD Projekt Red hinted to their fans that the comeback of Cyberpunk on the PlayStation Store depends on Sony and it's only a matter of time. The company itself was interested in the improvement of the title and regularly CDPR checked out its condition. Accordingly, it seems like Cyberpunk 2077 more or less satisfies the demands of Sony. The improvements of the performance are not the only planned updates of the game. CDPR wants to bring some new content including free DLC.
