Call of Duty: The company admitted that the fight against cheating might not seem adequate enough for gamers

Treyarch, a studio developer of the video game Call of Duty, agrees with players' criticisms of an innovative anti-cheating program called Ricochet.

So, in 2021, an anti-cheat system for a popular game was announced, allowing developers to deal with cheaters effectively. Exciting methods of dealing with this phenomenon soon became known. For example, they were taking weapons from offenders right during the game. Also, cheaters were deprived of the opportunity to interact with other gamers. The last released update was directed to third-party devices.

Despite these significant improvements, cheating flourished as hackers found new ways to bypass the Ricochet system. Moreover, some called this update an insufficient measure of influence. The studio stated that the battle with violators is a constant phenomenon. Again and again, new fighting methods for legitimate gameplay appear, but cheaters devise effective ways to bypass the system.

The company welcomes criticism and says it is working tirelessly to limit cheating.

Also, according to company representatives, the Ricochet system is constantly adapting, trying to minimize the activities of violators. In general, the struggle continues.
