Xbox owners want to disable PC crossplay with Halo Infinite. The reason for this was violators who appear in matches due to the flaws of the anti-cheat system. However, users cannot disable the function on their own. A discussion thread was posted on Reddit.
Earlier, Joseph Staten, head of creative at 343 Industries, said that in the future, the multiplayer mode of Halo Infinite may increase the variety of types of weapons. At the same time, he hinted that some of the available types of ammunition will be secret, as it was in Halo 2, and new content will appear in seasons.
Besides, Staten confirmed that the creators of Halo Infinite are planning long-term large-scale support for the project. He announced that the arsenal of weapons in multiplayer modes is going to be significantly expanded. However, it remains unknown how many weapons are planned to be added, whether they will be new or borrowed from the previous installments of the series, and also when we will see the first of the expansions.
Data miners have found modified versions of the current multiplayer weapon in the Halo: Infinite code. Their modified versions are distinguished by improved characteristics - a larger magazine with cartridges, less spread, increased rate of fire, etc. It’s still unknown whether these weapons will be included in updates in subsequent seasons, or will be released earlier as additional content for the first season.
The majority of fans and critics are satisfied with the upcoming game. Nevertheless, one of the IGN journalists received a lot of criticism on Twitter due to her positive review of Halo. Soon after the publication of the review, users condemned the girl: they accused her of corruption, as well as insufficient knowledge of the game. At the same time, the journalist noted that this is the first game in the series for her, and the high assessment is justified only by personal feelings from the title.
Halo Infinite is scheduled to release on December 8th. The game will be released on PC and modern consoles. On November 15, the developers opened access to the beta version of the multiplayer game. Right now it is available for free on PC and Xbox consoles. Since its release in open beta, Halo Infinite has remained the most played Xbox game in the United States. What's more, the title has become the most played Xbox Game Studios game on Steam with 270,000 players playing concurrently.
