Two Studios Collaborating on The Elder Scrolls 6 Lore

During a recent interview, Matt Firor, the director of The Elder Scrolls Online, shared a fascinating insight into the collaboration between different studios when it comes to the lore of The Elder Scrolls franchise. Despite what one might expect, the teams responsible for creating The Elder Scrolls 6 and TES Online are not working in isolation. Instead, they function as equal partners to develop the intricate lore that defines the beloved RPG universe.

Dynamic Collaboration: Bridging Worlds Across Studios

Firor shed some light on the dynamic relationship between the two development teams. He emphasized the constant exchange of ideas, feedback, and playtesting sessions. ZeniMax Online Studios primarily focuses on developing The Elder Scrolls Online, while Bethesda Game Studios diligently works on the highly anticipated The Elder Scrolls 6. Despite their distinct projects, both studios engage in frequent dialogue to ensure consistency and coherence in the lore that underpins their respective titles.

Forging the Future of Tamriel

Despite the ongoing development of The Elder Scrolls 6, details about the game remain scarce. However, Firor's remarks offer a glimpse into the behind-the-scenes collaboration that fuels the creative process. Recent updates suggest that early builds of the highly anticipated RPG are being playtested at Bethesda, indicating significant progress in its development. Nonetheless, eager fans must exercise patience as The Elder Scrolls 6 is not expected to grace gaming consoles and PCs until at least 2026.
