Alien: Isolation

After the Colonial Marines shooter, which failed in all respects, the Alien game branch urgently needed rehabilitation. The potential hit turned out to be a dummy, albeit for success he had everything he needed - a popular genre in an equally popular setting, an army of fans ready to fork out ... But in the end, if they remember the Colonial Marines, its just like a game, where commercials still (despite nearly five years of development, tons of patches and a pack of DLC after release) look much better than the final product.

Apparently, the SEGA unit in charge of Aliens already knew in advance that the protracted development of ACM did not bode well, and decided to give the green light to an adjacent project ahead of time. Until the end of last year, relatively little was known about the new game: yes, Alien (here the most attentive immediately noticed the absence of the end of the plural), no, there wont be any marines. Intrigue was added by the fact that the only developer was The Creative Assembly, hitherto nothing but strategies, not involved.

What happened in the end was not clear until the very last moment: no one forgot the story of the Colonial Marines, so the people treated all the promises and demonstrations with coolness, although they promised us a lot of interesting things. As it turned out, the new game is being created in the survival horror genre, which is atypical for the franchise, and the main priority was called to recreate the atmosphere of the very first film in the series.
