REPO: A Scavenger's Guide to Not Becoming Monster Chow

REPO isn't your average treasure hunt. It's a terrifying game of cat and mouse where you're the mouse, scurrying through monster-infested buildings to snatch valuable loot before becoming dinner. This guide will equip you with the essentials for surviving (and profiting from) your first few forays into the darkness.

From Truck to Terror: Your First Steps into Darkness

Your journey begins in the relative safety of a truck. Inside the starting room, you'll find your trusty loot cart, the extraction point, and a single door leading into the unknown. Your objective is simple: grab valuables, pile them onto the extraction point, and escape before the building's inhabitants catch you. The loot cart, grabbed with your left mouse button, is your best friend – it's your portable vault and protects your precious cargo from damage. Lootable items gleam enticingly – diamonds, wine, electronics, even plushies. Your cursor turns yellow over anything worth grabbing. Be warned, though: loot is fragile. Dropping or bumping items can decrease their value or shatter them completely. Use the mouse wheel to adjust item distance and the right mouse button to rotate them carefully. The loot cart displays your current haul's value and the overall target amount needed to trigger extraction. Don't be greedy; drop off loot early and often at the extraction point. It's better to make multiple trips than lose everything to a lurking creature.

Surviving the Hunt: Stealth and Strategy

As you venture deeper, the monster density increases. These aren't creatures you can fight; they're forces of nature to be avoided. Hiding is your primary defense. Duck under furniture, hug walls, become one with the shadows. Crouch-walking is your friend; running is a dinner bell. Monsters are drawn to sound, so silence is golden. Sprinting is a last resort, draining your precious stamina, which regenerates slowly. Keep a close eye on your HP and stamina in the top left corner – they're your lifeline. Learning monster behavior is crucial. Observe their patrol routes, understand their quirks, and use that knowledge to your advantage.

Extraction and Beyond: Escaping with Your Loot (and Your Life)

Once you've hit the loot threshold, carefully arrange your treasures on the extraction platform. Whatever you do, don't stand on the platform during extraction. It's a one-way trip to oblivion. After the platform disappears, sprint back to the truck and hit the envelope button – your ticket to freedom. Back at the Service Station, spend your hard-earned cash wisely. Prioritize stamina, health, strength, and grenades, especially as a beginner. These upgrades will be waiting for you in the truck on your next run. Remember: teamwork is key in REPO. Revive fallen allies by returning their severed heads (gruesome, yes, but effective) and share health by interacting with the back of their heads. Avoid unnecessary noise, use the mini-map (Tab) wisely, and memorize the layout. Knowing where to hide and how to navigate is essential for survival. REPO is a challenging game, but with a bit of cunning and a lot of caution, you can emerge victorious, pockets bulging with ill-gotten gains. Good luck, and try not to scream too loud.
