The Yakuza series has a difficult relationship with the western market. The games coming out in it are subject to ridiculous censorship, despite the age rating of 18+, sometimes they do not receive localization. But the sixth game of the series will still hit the shelves of the United States and Europe, albeit a year and a half after the release in Japan.
The gap in the plot, which can be filled only by reading retelling and amateur translations, of course, saddens. However, Yakuza 6: The Song of Life is so masterfully directed that it’s not only the fans who have been deprived of the opportunity to play in the last part who can figure out its story, it will also be quite comfortable for newcomers here. Moreover, the game and in addition to the dramatic plot have something to brag about.
